A New Chapter Begins: Molo Mhlaba Schools' expansion to Mont Claire

Updated: Nov 7, 2023

By Sibulele Magini, Headmaster of Molo Mhlaba Schools

In a significant stride toward our mission of providing quality education to young minds, Molo Mhlaba Schools is proud to announce its expansion to the picturesque Mont Claire area. With unwavering determination and the support of passionate individuals and organizations, we have acquired a plot of land and completed the construction of the first phase of our new school facility. This remarkable achievement marks the beginning of an

exciting chapter in the Molo Mhlaba story.

The heart of our new venture lies in the two vibrant classrooms that now stand tall on the Mont Claire land. These classrooms, meticulously designed and thoughtfully equipped, are set to welcome 60 pre-scholars in the upcoming academic year of 2024. The construction of these classrooms represents not only bricks and mortar but the embodiment of our commitment to empowering young minds and fostering a love for learning.

One of these classrooms, a symbol of hope and opportunity, has been made possible through the generous support of the Kids First Foundation based in the USA. Their dedication to improving education globally has enabled us to provide a nurturing environment for 30 pre-scholars. This partnership reinforces our belief in the power of collaboration and shared dreams. Together, we are shaping a brighter future for these young learners, giving them the tools they need to succeed and thrive.

The other classroom, equally impactful and filled with the promise of potential, will be named in honor of the iconic anti-apartheid activist, Dr. Mamphele Ramphele. As a beacon of inspiration for our school, Dr. Ramphele's unwavering commitment to education and social change resonates deeply with our ethos. By dedicating this classroom to her, we pay tribute to her legacy and the enduring spirit of resilience that she embodies. Our girls will carry her name forward as a symbol of empowerment and courage, reminding them of the remarkable heights they can achieve. She has agreed to honour a ceremony that will officially open the classroom.

This expansion to Mont Claire represents more than just physical growth for Molo Mhlaba Schools. It signifies our dedication to breaking barriers, empowering young girls, and nurturing leaders of tomorrow. We are not just building classrooms; we are creating safe havens where dreams are nurtured, and potential is unlocked. Our commitment to providing quality education to girls, especially from marginalized communities, remains unwavering.

As we embark on this new journey, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the supporters, well-wishers, and organizations like Kids First Foundation who have made this vision a reality. Together, we are shaping a future where every girl, regardless of her background, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.

In the spirit of unity, education, and progress, Molo Mhlaba Schools invites the community to join us in this exciting venture. Together, let us create a world where every girl's dreams are not just seen but nurtured, where every mind is not just educated but empowered, and where every child is given the chance to shine bright and illuminate the path for others. With your

support, we are confident that the Mont Claire campus will become a beacon of hope, resilience, and excellence, setting the stage for generations of empowered young women.
